The Official Strain page has been updated with information on the two new zones (Blighthaven, and Northern Wastes).

Blighthaven:

Northern Wastes:

THE SAGA OF THE NORTHERN WILDS CONTINUES FOR MAX LEVEL PLAYERS!

In the wake of the battle of Camp Icefury, both factions have returned to the Northern Wilds to lay claim to the frozen wasteland. But as the conflict between the bitter enemies intensifies, a new danger emerges from an ancient Eldan exo-lab, threatening heroes from both sides…

Hot on the heels of teasing us about new content… Carbine has turned up the PTR!  (Okay, technically, it’s not up right now.. but it should be shortly)

Have a level 50? Bored already?  Jump on the PTR and test the new content!

Highlights:

• The PTR will be located in the Dallas Data Center
• As long as you have an Active WildStar subscription (NA or EU) you will be able to access the PTR.
• Note: This required the team perform magical technical manipulations to make this possible.
• “Boost” NPC’s will be available in Nexus that will level you up and give you gear.
• “Boost” NPC’s will only be available for players who have earned a level 50 on a Live Realm before 6/12.
• We typically take time stamps prior to when the next drop will hit the PTR. Example: Before Drop 2 hits the PTR, we’ll take another time stamp.

AddOn developers should probably be sure to hit the PTR as well, so any necessary changes can be made in time for launch of the new content.

Today we got the first part of the Strain Ultra Drop, a new Flick!

Oh..and a date… kinda.. “Coming in July”.  So, Carbine is wasting no time in pushing out new content (they haven’t even waited for me to hit 50 yet! I’m still in my 20s!).

So… WildStar officially launched June 3.  2 weeks later, they’ve started teasing the first major content drop coming soon.

Now available from Carbine’s web-store, C.R.E.D.D (not to be confused with the bad band CREED) can be purchased with your hard earned real cash, and sold in game (via the C.R.E.D.D exchange) for platinum!  Fund that housing addiction by selling your C.R.E.D.D to people who have spent way too much time farming in game!

If you’ve purchased, and are playing, WildStar.. you should have received an email containing some guest passes to distribute to your friends, so they too can get hooked! (First hit is always free).

Guest Passes come with some restrictions though:

• Maximum of 3 characters per Realm.
• Guest accounts are capped to level 20, Path level 10 and Apprentice Tier crafting.
• Guest accounts can’t have more than 50 gold or 5,000 Renown.
• Guest accounts can’t create or join a Guild. They can join Circles but not create them.
• Guest accounts can’t trade with other players, send or receive mail, can’t become Neighbors or Roommates, or use the Commodity Exchange.
• Oh and Guest accounts can only use Say, Yell and Party chat.
